District 8 is proud to launch the Attendance All‑Stars Initiative, a celebration of the students, families, and schools who are building strong attendance habits every day!!

Attendance Goal
“By June 30, 2026 there will be a 1.8% increase in YTD attendance from 89.2% to 91% as measured by Insight (2026) by ensuring that schools consistently employ research based strategies, make data driven decisions, leverage community resources and forge partnerships with assigned attendance teachers.”
Chronic Absenteeism Goal
“By June 30, 2026, there will be a 2.1% reduction in Chronic Absenteeism from 42.1% to 40.00% as measured by Insight (2026) by ensuring that schools consistently employ research based strategies, make data driven decisions, leverage community resources and forge partnerships with assigned attendance teachers.
